The river index at home: a collection you can navigate

Consistent titles and sources make the notebook easier to revisit.

A small filing rule

Group notes by topic or date and use a clear title. Keep photographs with their captions. A simple folder can work if the information is consistent. The system should help you find a detail after several weeks, not require extensive maintenance after every outing.

Check for repeated images

Different links may show versions of the same photograph. Compare the actual frames and keep distinct material. Preserve photographers and conditions of use for borrowed images. Do not present an illustration as documentation of a trip you did not make.

Review with a question

Choose one entry to revisit and one topic for further reading. Keep uncertain context visible. The collection becomes valuable through its honest records and clear routes back to sources, leaving room for ordinary experience and a better next preparation.
